Here is my brand new shiitake mushroom growing kit from Sno-Valley Mushrooms that I got for Christmas. I've removed the growing kit from the clear plastic bag it arrived in, washed the mushroom metabolites from the log and placed it on top of a roasting rack. All of that has then been placed on top of a pie plate. This should keep it ventilated so that it grows mushrooms instead of mold! Looking forward to the first little sprouts. Now I'll mist it and put a plastic grocery bag over the top to keep it nice and humid.
